King Mohammed VI’s Vision for Empowering African Youth is the Key to Economic Growth

In the context of the virtual symposium organized to celebrate the glorious Youth Day, under the title “Youth and the Challenges of Development Transformation under Royal Leadership: A Strategic Reading of the Moroccan-African Trajectory in the Era of King Mohammed VI,” Dr. Ralsian Lanyed, a consultant in strategic management and CEO of “Lanydeh & Partners,” delivered a significant intervention titled “Developing Africa’s Future: Strategic Youth Leadership in the Energy and Infrastructure Sectors.”

The intervention presented a strategic vision on how to employ the energies of African youth to achieve growth and prosperity on the continent. Dr. Lanyed began his talk by praising the leadership vision of King Mohammed VI, noting that youth empowerment is a fundamental pillar in Moroccan and African development policies. He emphasized that the leader’s responsibility is to set the visions, while the youth’s responsibility is to turn these visions into a tangible reality, making them an integral part of the development process.

Dr. Lanyed focused on the necessity for African youth to embrace industrialization, especially in the energy sector, considering it a prerequisite for achieving accelerated growth that contributes to reducing poverty rates. He also called for investing in the development of educational skills in the field of entrepreneurship, to encourage youth innovation and leadership, which paves the way for a new generation of leaders and creators.

In conclusion, Dr. Lanyed affirmed that the greatest strategic goal is to change the perspective of African youth about themselves, so that they see themselves as leaders of tomorrow, not just followers. He stressed that this intellectual shift is the real engine for driving change and progress in Africa and achieving the continent’s ambitions for sustainable development.

Young People in Energy and Infrastructure

It is a privilege to take part in this significant event, which is not only a symbolic occasion (Youth Day), but also a tactical opportunity to consider how young people will influence the future of our continent. Morocco’s national and African development policy has made youth empowerment a key component, thanks to the visionary leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

The brilliant leadership of King Mohammed VI demonstrates the need of having visionary leaders who act to advance Africa, which is what today’s youth need. In leadership, however, the leader is backed by his team and by everything that helps make his vision a reality, so as young people, we must also accept holding his hand.

Further investigation reveals that young people in Africa need to concentrate on industrialization, particularly in the energy sector, if the continent is to see exponential development. Therefore, programs like King Mohammed VI’s are necessary to support young people.
But in order to accomplish this, we must put the proper systems in place for the benefit of our young people. Investing in the development of educational abilities, particularly in entrepreneurship, is necessary to encourage students to consider how they may create, transform, and innovate. Helping young people shift their perspective and see themselves as tomorrow’s leaders is another strategic goal in order to bring about change and advancement in Africa.

We may use energy as an example of how some nations are growing today, like the Emirates (Dubai), which have benefited from their affluence. Africa can grow and progress in the same way when it comes to energy.
Industrialization stimulates invention and creativity, which in turn results in a significant decrease in poverty.

King Mohammed VI is a brilliant man, and we must up to the challenge by creating a system that will allow us to realize his vision and see Africa change, not by giving lectures.
As leaders today, let’s take the time to complete the tasks that will allow us to assist young people in carrying out a plan of action that will help our leader, King Mohammed VI, realize his vision.
