Morocco Announces Eid al-Adha Date for June 7, 2025
The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs wishes to inform all citizens that it observed the crescent moon of Dhu al-Hijjah for the year 1446 AH, after sunset on Tuesday, 29 Dhu al-Qi’dah 1446 AH, corresponding to May 27, 2025 CE.
The Ministry contacted all delegates of Islamic Affairs throughout the Kingdom, as well as the units of the Royal Armed Forces involved in moon sighting. All confirmed that the crescent was not sighted.
Therefore, the month of Dhu al-Qi’dah will complete its thirty days, and the first day of Dhu al-Hijjah will be Thursday, May 29, 2025 CE. Subsequently, Eid al-Adha will be on Saturday, June 7, 2025 CE.
May Allah bring this blessed month and the joyous Eid al-Adha with prosperity, goodness, joy, and blessings to His Majesty, the Commander of the Faithful and Protector of the Homeland and Religion, King Mohammed VI. May He also grant happiness and well-being to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Hassan, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, and all members of the honorable Royal Family.
