Royal Appointments Reshape Local Governance
Rabat, May 24, 2025 – His Majesty King Mohammed VI, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, received newly appointed Walis (governors) and Amils (local administrators) for central and regional administration yesterday, Saturday, at the Royal Palace in Rabat.
Central Administration Appointments
The appointments in the central administration included:
- Mr. Samir Mohammed Tazi: Wali, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Interior.
- Mr. Mohammed Fawzi: Wali, Inspector General of Territorial Administration.
- Mr. Hassan Aghmari: Wali, Director of Electoral Affairs.
- Mr. Abdelhak El Harrak: Wali, Director of Information Systems and Communications.
- Mr. Abdallah El Alaoui: Amil, Director of Communications at the Ministry of Interior.
Regional Administration Appointments
The regional administration appointments included:
- Mr. Mohammed Ali Habouha: Amil of Settat Province.
- Mr. Jamal Khalouk: Amil of Berrechid Province.
- Mr. Adil El Malki: Amil of Mohammedia Prefecture.
- Mr. El Hassan Boukouta: Amil of Benslimane Province.
- Mr. Samir Yazidi: Amil of Kelaat Sraghna Province.
- Mr. Mohammed Derham: Amil of Sidi Ifni Province.
- Mr. Ibrahim Abouzaid: Amil of Sefrou Province.
- Mr. Hicham El Medghari Alaoui: Amil of Khouribga Province.

- Mr. Walaid El Moussafir: Amil in charge of Regional Internal Affairs, Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima Wilaya.
- Ms. Hanan Riadi: Amil in charge of Regional Internal Affairs, Marrakesh-Safi Wilaya.
During the reception, the newly appointed Amils took the oath before His Majesty the King. The reception was attended by Interior Minister Mr. Abdelouafi Laftit and Royal Chamberlain Sidi Mohammed El Alaoui.
