Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Benguerir has concluded the “Science Week 2025” event, which took place from February 17 to 23 under the theme “Shaping the Future.” The event brought together a distinguished group of scientists, researchers, and experts to discuss scientific innovations and their impact on the future of humanity.
Over the course of a week, the event featured a series of conferences, panel discussions, and specialized workshops covering topics such as artificial intelligence, predictive medicine, sustainable agriculture, and innovations in renewable energy. A highlight of the event was the “Science Village,” where students and researchers had the opportunity to showcase their research projects to a broad audience of enthusiasts and industry professionals.
Among the notable figures participating in the event were Jacob Jones, a world-renowned phosphorus expert; Rida Hamdoun, an acclaimed architect; Philippe Esposito, a pioneer in green hydrogen; and Marc Bourqui, a specialist in algorithms and finance. Additionally, the event was marked by the presence of Abdelrazak El Abani, a paleontologist credited with discovering the earliest forms of multicellular life on Earth.
The program also included the “From Idea to Market” competition, which provided young innovators with a platform to present their ideas before a panel of experts and investors. This year’s edition of “Science Week” saw remarkable engagement from students, researchers, and entrepreneurs, reflecting the growing interest in scientific research and innovation in Morocco.
In the closing remarks, the organizers emphasized the importance of transforming scientific discussions into practical solutions to address future challenges.
